• Assist in the recruitment process by evaluating CVs, shortlisting suitable candidates and scheduling interviews • Conduct induction sessions for new employees • Enrolling new employees and discharging old employees on the HRPM system • Maintaining clockings and exceptions on HRPM on a daily basis • Scheduling working hours for a new period on HRPM • Managing uniform orders and deductions. • Managing personnel files ensuring that they are updated at all times. • Facilitate the disciplinary process – issue warnings, hearing papers • Ensure compliance to legal and ethical regulations • Process leave requests and submit for approval • Provide administrative support staff terminations (UI19 forms, certificates of service, provident fund withdrawals) • Resolve employee queries related to salaries, funeral policy claims, provident fund withdrawals and other benefits. • Dealing with Department of Labour Inspections (BCOEA & OHS) • Coordinate staff training and development (SHe Reps, First Aid & Fire Fighting Training) • Ensuring that all Health and Safety files are up to date. • Facilitate the employee desertion process.
• Responsible for the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for +1000 employees • Collect, compile and enter payroll data using Accsys payroll system • Calculate and post payroll deductions • Process payroll by established deadlines • Investigate and correct discrepancies and errors • Update payroll records by recording changes including insurance coverage, loan payments and salary increases • Engage new employees and discharging old employees from the payroll system. • Managing annual leave and sick leave register • Prepare and print payroll reports and payslips • Generate and issue disciplinary warnings, hearing documents and end of contract letters to employees • Compiling a monthly disciplinary report. • Assist the HR Manager with CCMA documents for upcoming cases. • Develop, manage and maintain comprehensive payroll records • Managing funeral and Provident fund claims, ensuring that they are paid on time and to the correct beneficiary. • Assist in the recruitment process by evaluating CVs, shortlisting suitable candidates and scheduling interviews • Processing background checks and reference checks on prospective employees. • Generate employment contracts for new employees • Issuing UIF papers and employment confirmation letters to employees
